Surprises are one of the best things ever in the history of the world. I. Mean. Ever. What is better than knowing someone you love orchestrated an event dedicated uniquely to you? In my opinion its one of the best feelings in the world to know you are loved that much.
There is so much I could say about this particular surprise. The recipient was my sister and the orchestrator was her husband —with some help from me and my parents. If there is one thing that you should know about my parents it is that they are perpetually excited for my siblings and I. They are like the ultimate cheerleaders and might get more excitement out of watching us happy than we do ourselves. My mother hand dyed almost 200 little vases for my sisters wedding, none of which were put out on her actual wedding day due to some glitches the day of. My father hand made the copper arbor for her and it is one of the coolest arbors I have seen to date. With their anniversary right around the corner we set up this little session for her so she could see all the work my mom did for her in action. There were tears, laughing and even the sweetest little speech by my brother in law (que ugly cry). It was truly a day to remember!
